Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 September 2026. This page explains what data eotics.com collects, why, and what happens to it. The short version: we collect what you type into the contact form or the chat, plus ordinary server logs, and nothing else. There are no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies on this site.

Who is responsible

EOTICS operates this website. You can reach us through the contact page for any question about this policy or about data we hold about you.

Contact form

When you send a message through the contact form we receive the name, email address, company name (optional), area of interest and message you entered, together with the IP address the message was sent from and the time it was sent. The IP address and timestamp help us filter spam and abuse.

The message is delivered to our engineering mailbox by email. Delivery is handled by the FormSubmit service (formsubmit.co), which processes the submission only to forward it and is not permitted to use it for anything else. We keep your message for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any business relationship that follows from it. If you would like it deleted earlier, tell us.

We use the information you provide only to answer you. You will not be added to a mailing list and your details are not shared with anyone else.

Chat widget

The chat button in the corner of the site connects you to an engineer. Messages you send, and the name you optionally enter, are relayed to our team through the Telegram messaging service so that we can reply from wherever we are. A random session identifier is stored in your browser’s session storage so the conversation can continue while the tab is open; it is discarded when you close the tab and is not used to track you across visits.

Chat transcripts are kept on our relay server only while the conversation is active and for a short period afterwards, after which they are removed automatically. Anything you share in chat that we need to keep for a project is treated like a contact-form message.

Server logs

Like every website, our servers record technical access logs: the IP address of the request, the page requested, the time, the browser identification string and the referring page. We use these logs to keep the site running, to detect attacks and to diagnose faults. They are stored on our hosting provider’s infrastructure in the European Union and are rotated automatically; we do not combine them with any other data about you.

Cookies and local storage

The public site sets no cookies for visitors. The only browser storage used is the chat session identifier described above, which lives in session storage and disappears when you close the tab. Members of our team who sign in to manage the site receive standard WordPress authentication cookies; these are never set for visitors.

Third-party services

  • FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) forwards contact-form submissions to our mailbox.
  • Telegram relays chat messages between you and our engineers.
  • IONOS hosts the website and our email in the European Union.

We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics, advertising or social-media tracking service. Scripts and fonts used by the site are served from our own domain.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Send the request through the contact page and we will answer within one month. If you are in the European Union you also have the right to complain to your national data-protection authority.

Changes

If we change how this site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. We will not apply a change retroactively to data already collected without telling you.
